The Challenge

Element Pointe is a well-established wealth management and family office serving high-net-worth clients in South Florida. Their back-office operations ran on powerful enterprise systems — including eMoney for financial planning and Addepar for portfolio analytics — but the client-facing experience hadn’t kept pace.

Investor onboarding was manual: PDF forms sent via email, data re-keyed by staff, and no centralized way for clients to track progress or access their financial information. Document collection happened through back-and-forth email chains with no audit trail. Clients had to contact their advisor just to see basic portfolio data.

Element Pointe needed a secure, modern platform that would give their clients self-service access to onboarding, documents, and portfolio data — while integrating seamlessly with eMoney and Addepar on the backend. And they needed it built by a team that understood the compliance and security requirements of financial services.

The Solution

Simple Solutions designed and built a complete client portal ecosystem — web application, mobile app, and admin dashboard — purpose-built for Element Pointe’s workflows and integrated with their existing financial platforms.

Secure Client Authentication

Multi-factor authentication with identity verification — clients confirm their identity using email, date of birth, and SSN/Tax ID. Email-based verification codes add a second layer of security. Built on centralized identity management (SAML/OIDC) enabling single sign-on into eMoney and Addepar without re-authentication.

Client Profile Portal

A centralized dashboard where clients manage all their accounts — individuals, entities, and trusts — in one place. Progress tracking shows exactly where each application stands (tasks completed, forms pending, status). Advisors and operations staff see the same view with administrative controls for household management, user provisioning, and compliance oversight.

Guided Onboarding Workflows

Multi-step onboarding forms that walk investors through every required section — General Information, Financial Profile, Investment Experience, Assets Advisement, Investment Time Horizon, Income Needs, Financial Objective, Risk Attitude, and Private Investments. Each section tracks completion with visual checkmarks. Forms adapt based on account type (Individual, Trust, Entity) with type-specific fields like grantor information for trusts.

Mobile-First Design

Full-featured mobile application built with Flutter for iOS and Android. Clients complete onboarding, review their financial profile, and track private investments from their phone — with the same guided workflow and progress tracking as the desktop experience. Push notifications keep clients informed about pending tasks and document requests.

Technical Architecture

Built for security, scalability, and seamless integration with Element Pointe’s existing financial ecosystem.

Frontend

React + TypeScript web application with Flutter mobile app (iOS & Android). Responsive, accessible, and built for compliance-sensitive environments.

Backend & Data

Node.js API with PostgreSQL database. Role-based access control (RBAC), encryption in transit and at rest, audit logging for compliance. Cloud object storage for secure documents.

Integrations

Direct connectors to eMoney and Addepar for portfolio data, SSO federation via centralized Identity Provider (Keycloak/Auth0), nightly data sync with on-demand refresh.

The Results

Element Pointe now operates a fully branded, secure client portal that their investors use daily. The platform transformed their client experience from email-and-PDF workflows to a modern, self-service digital experience — without replacing any of their existing financial systems.

Onboarding time reduced dramatically. What previously took weeks of back-and-forth email now happens through guided digital workflows that clients complete at their own pace — with real-time progress tracking for both the client and the advisory team.
