3 reasons to use AngularJS for your projects

By Blog No Comments

AngularJS is Javascript front-end framework typically used to make single page applications inside the browser. It is very good because it allows us as developers, to have our codes organized and to reuse codes. Here we give you 3 reasons why you should consider AngularJS as your framework:

  1. Google developed it – this framework is built and maintained by dedicated and highly talented Google engineers. This means that the skilled and available engineers are there to help you get your Angular questions answered. It also offers a large open community for you to learn from and you can be sure that you are dealing with efficient and reliable codes that will make your project scale. It is quickly becoming known by the web development community as a viable framework for client-side development.
  2. It’s comprehensive – it is a solution for a rapid front-end development. You don’t need other plugins to build a data-driven web application. As long as you can store data, AngularJS does everything else, while providing a rich and fast experiences for the user.
  3. Easy start – getting started is as easy as adding a few attributes to your HTML and you can have a simple Angular app very quickly!

If you are looking for a powerful, efficient and well-maintained framework for any project, we strongly recommend that you take a look at AngularJS.

Happy developing!

SOBE Yachting Project

By Blog No Comments

Sobe Yachting is a Miami startup company, focused simply on making people’s life easier by providing them with an easy booking service for yachts. They are growing to be one of the best online platforms to book your charter yacht, it can be done in under 5 minutes, of course, that is if you’re clear on what yacht you want among their incredible list of yachts.

The original request was to create a simple, easy going online platform to book a yacht, just like you do with a hotel. To make it happen, we proposed to use Python Django for backend with AngularJS for front-end.

As our main goal was to simplify our client’s life at the moment of managing the website from the backend, these frameworks were the right choice. The technology provides the admin the ability to add yachts to its website, with its name and description, and add pictures as well. It is also easy for users, being very friendly and straightforward, once you decide on the yacht, you pick a date, decide if you want any upgrade, review and book!

How often should you be posting on social media?

By Blog No Comments

You might have wondered why your posts are not having enough engagement? Or why your following is not actively increasing? Even why you don’t have many likes… It is important to understand that for every social media platform, there should be a balance when it comes to sharing content, considering that each platform is different from each other, they should be treated as such.

However, this question applies to pretty much all platforms…if you share too much content you might annoy your followers, if you share too little, they lose interest in the brand…so, is there a correct way to target your followers?

We analyzed the different platforms and we give you our recommendations as to how often you should be posting on your different social media platforms:

Facebook is a very active social media platform for individuals. For businesses, it is a little tricky because the platform itself has been regulating the amount of people it reaches. The key with Facebook is to post content that is valuable for people and interesting enough for them to want to share it. Adding an additional promotion to each post will also help increase this engagement.

We recommend a maximum of 10 posts per week.

It’s a fast paced social media platform where you need to be very active in order to stand out. You should be sharing content created by you or sharing other interesting facts from other sources relevant to your area. It is important to always use hashtags or tag others; this will give the brand more exposure.

We recommend a minimum of 5 posts per day, no maximum. Remember, you need to be very active.

In this platform, there is a high volume of content constantly being shared, so in order to keep up and stand out, you need to be posting frequently. It is important to share beautiful images with high quality; Pinterest is all about visual stimulation.

We recommend at least 5 posts per day.

It’s an active social media platform for individuals to share their life with other people, through pictures and video. Businesses have had it somewhat complicated, however, it is important to be present and post images relevant to the users’ life. Content should be relevant enough for new users to follow the brand and for current followers to like or tag a friend, to generate more exposure.

We recommend 1 picture a day but make it an interesting one, so people can comment and tag other friends.

Wordcamp Miami 2015

By Blog No Comments

I’m positive you have heard about WordPress before, a tool once believed to be only for blogging has developed into a great content management system worth trying. As developers, we take advantage of this software and recommend it to most of our clients, if it fits their needs of course. It makes life easier for everyone, specially considering those not as tech savvy as, allow me to say, ourselves…plus, it’s a free software which means installing it and begin using it has no cost.

Anyway, going back to the original topic, our team from Simple Solutions attended Wordcamp last weekend at FIU Miami. It’s an annual conference fully dedicated to WordPress, a 3-day event hosting different speakers for those focused on development, content, design, and even beginners willing to learn the ins & outs of this platform.

As a second year attending Wordcamp, our team was present throughout the event, learning advanced techniques, development tricks, security details, plugins, themes, among other topics. Our CEO was very excited to return to this year’s event, and was especially surprised with ShawnHopper, a web developer and WordPress contributor, for his great keynote about how to use WP-CLI to manage WordPress site from the Command Line.

Thanks to Wordcamp for hosting this amazing event yet again. You can count on us for future events, for now, we will continue to work on WordPress to create even more websites worthy of viewing.
